At BLOCKCHAIN WERKSTATT we care about people, cities, climate and the future. We aim to create positive impact - social and environmental, through human-centered design solutions using various technologies. Participatory democracy, open data and using data in a transparent way are dear to us. We see systemic challenges as an opportunity for improvement and perceive Digital Rights equal to Human Rights. BC Werkstatt believes in the future of smart democratic cities - responsive cities with citizens that are empowered, informed, engaged and involved. Affordable Housing, the threat of climate change and inequality are dear to our heart. We use technology to drive impact and change. We deeply care about cities and look at how to foster a more sustainable and equitable way of living and working.
Our mission at BLOCKCHAIN WERKSTATT is to transform the way the public sector provides services to and engages with citizens. We innovate towards trust and transparency with citizen-centered design solutions. Platforms have the potential to redistribute power and create more open, inclusive and decentralized societies.We use technology to address citizens needs and solve urban challenges. Emerging technologies like blockchain, AI, and IoT serve our mission best to create the ecosystems of the future that drive social and sustainable impact. Developing new and self-sustaining business models that create a win win situation for all stakeholders is equally important.
We strongly believe that public-private partnerships will be key for future transformations as will be the involvement of all citizens.
At BLOCKCHAIN WERKSTATT we aim to create more equitable, affordable and ecologically friendly cities. We embrace diversity - of people, identities, backgrounds, experiences and disciplines. No single team is alike as we co-create, collaborate and co-operate with different people, agencies and institutions for one project at a time. Today’s cities are siloed between public, private and community interests. Our interdisciplinary cross-sector teams aim to (re)build civic trust and prototype solutions that address community needs, policies and sustainable solutions for all stake-holders involved. Diversity and inclusion are key drivers to our success. On our collaborative platforms and ecosystems we design for people with people, agencies and municipalities - for a mutually beneficial relationship and a sustainable equitable future.
